A Season of Nurturing and Renewal

As I sit down to write to you all on this first day of June, the winter chill is settling in here in New Zealand, and I'm reminded of the importance of turning inward during this season. The Sun in Cancer is calling us to nurture and care for ourselves, to tend to our emotional and spiritual gardens, just as we would tend to a physical garden during the colder months. It's a time to slow down, to reflect on what's been planted, and to consider what needs pruning or nourishment in order to bloom in the seasons to come. I've been noticing, in the questions and stories you've been sharing with me, a deep longing for a sense of safety and security. Many of you are feeling the weight of uncertainty, and are seeking ways to cultivate a sense of grounding and stability in the midst of chaos. This is a beautiful thing, because it means you're recognizing the importance of self-care and self-compassion. The Sun in Cancer is illuminating the ways in which we can create a sense of home and belonging within ourselves, even when the external world feels unpredictable. As we navigate the challenges of our lives, it's easy to get caught up in the idea that we need to be constantly pushing forward, achieving, and producing. But the truth is, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply to be still, to listen, and to allow ourselves to receive. This month, I invite you to join me in embracing the energy of the Sun in Cancer, and to explore what it means to truly nurture and care for yourself. What are the things that make you feel safe, seen, and loved? What are the practices and rituals that help you feel grounded and connected to your own heart and soul?
